About Site

www.coordinateafrica.com
is your information source on Africa. The site brings together vital information for African communities as well as organizations and businesses operating in Africa.  Available resources and supporters are scattered around the world and CoordinateAfrica is striving to bring as many of these resources together as necessary for quick and easy access. The first phase of the site will focus on the following:

Events:

Many people usually hear about an African event or an event in support of a cause in Africa after the fact.  Friends and supporters around the world love participating in such events. Coordinateafrica.com invites anyone or group with such an event to post the event information on the site free of charge and let friends and community groups interested in the cause support the event.

Jobs:

If you or someone you know is looking for a job in any part of Africa, Coordinateafrica.com is a good place to start. The job listing is designed to allow for a quick, targeted review of available jobs in African countries. Listing jobs in this manner permits our brothers and sisters in Africa who may have very limited access to the internet to get to the job listings and descriptions fast and conveniently.  Organizations, Institutions and anyone who may have a job vacancy to advertise may post it on the site for a small fee. Contact the site admin at admin@coordinateafrica.com for more information on posting your job vacancy.

Marketplace:

There are several African NGOs that have initiated income generating projects to support their programs. We would like to give those NGOs a forum to promote their products in the hope that many of our visitors to this site can support them by purchasing these products. These organizations are trying to be self sustaining and they need all the support they can get. Send us a link of any such organization and we will add them to our Marketplace.

African Communities Abroad:

African communities abroad are welcome to post information about their organizations on the site for free. If you belong to an African Community abroad, we would like to hear about your organization. Your community’s website will be linked to Coordinateafrica.com so that your site can be easily located by members and friends of your community.

Forum:

Participate in our online forum to discuss things of interest to African communities around the world. If you have something that you think would be of interest to discuss, please bring it up on the forum and have other people weigh in.

Donated Items (Warehouse):

The CoordinateAfrica Team is working on having a central place where people who would like to make a donation in kind can list their donations (virtual drop off). Organizations, community groups and or individuals who are interested in these donations will link up with the donor directly. CoordinateAfrica Team believes that there are lots of donations that usually go to waste because people are not aware of their existence. These donations can be of great help to many communities in Africa.

Polls:

From time to time we will be polling on issues that are important to Africans and African communities. Please take a minute to register your vote. It is important to let people know how you feel about such issues. You never know who may be watching the results of your vote.

Your Opinion Counts

Ellen Johnson Sirleaf seems to be doing very well at the helm of power in Liberia- winning a Nobel Peace Prize! Do you think it is time for female African Heads of States?

No, most women would be just like their male counter parts
Yes, it is about time. Let the women give it a try
